Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. To power automatic session tracking we also request read-only access to your Google Calendar and write access to Google Sheets so we can generate timesheets on your behalf. We store the appointment data pulled from your calendar, session notes you enter, and the student and parent records you create inside Tutorly.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Tutorly service — displaying your appointments, tracking session time, and producing timesheets. We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described in Section 3.

3. Third-party services

Tutorly is built on a small set of trusted infrastructure providers:

  • Google — authentication, Calendar access, and Sheets export.
  • Supabase — database and authentication token storage.
  • Vercel — hosting and serverless functions.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.

Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle data on their infrastructure.

4. Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure token storage, and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's privacy

Tutorly is intended for use by tutoring professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Student names and records entered by tutors are treated as educational records and are not used for any purpose other than generating timesheets.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. Continued use of Tutorly after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
