Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Tutorly ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Tutorly is a time-tracking and timesheet tool for independent tutors. It connects to your Google account to import calendar appointments, allows you to record session outcomes and notes, and generates formatted timesheets for your records. The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service to store or transmit unlawful or harmful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

4. Google integration

By connecting your Google account you authorize Tutorly to access your Google Calendar (read-only) and Google Sheets (write) on your behalf. You may revoke this access at any time via your Google Account security settings. Tutorly's use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Intellectual property

All content, design, and software comprising the Service are the property of Tutorly's operators and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you enter into the Service.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tutorly and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by contacting us.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
